I decided to see if Carina liked the guitar today so I set her up on the glider and gave her a little concert. She was very interested in the music and seemed to enjoy her seat. So, maybe I'll start practicing more often now since Carina seems to like it. :-)

In other developments, I've survived seven days of being back to work. My crazy schedule isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. What do you think? Between 6 and 7:30 or so I have to get ready and feed Carina. By 7:30 I leave for work so I can get there right before 8, then I plan and get ready for the day. I have to start pumping by 8:30 so I'm done by the time the kids come in at 8:55. The kids have recess at 11 and I pump again. The kids come back in at 11:20 and at 12:35 I get my first break of the day - about 20 minutes to eat my lunch before I have to pump again just before 1:00. Lunch is over at 1:15 and I'm teaching unitl 3:25. After school I rush the kids out so I can pump a final time before I rush home to see my adorable baby and have some cuddle time! I mostly have to keep up this crazy pumping schedule because Carina is eating so much! It was nice that my mom was here last week watching Carina to help ease the transition. Dave's mom is here this week and his dad will be here soon too. They'll be watching Carina for the next five and a half weeks. It's
a little easier leaving each day knowing that she gets to stay with family.
With all of this feeding it's no surprise that Carina is growing a ton each day. Last count - 9 pounds 5 ounces! And in fun news...she's almost on the verge of laughing. It's so cute it's hard to take!
