Cruisin'

Carina started to pull herself up to standing about a week and a half ago. I walked in to her room to get her up from a nap and there she was standing! It was very strange. Since then she pulls herself up on just about anything she can. Today she took it a step (pun intended) further and started moving herself along while standing. She is very proud of herself as you can see:

She also is really going with the crawling now. She moves very fast when she wants to. She continues to try new foods (recently we've tried pineapple, kale, and turnip). She, of course, loves it all. This week we'll try our first meat - turkey on Thanksgiving. Yum! She's even getting quite good at feeding herself. She loves to pick up food and put it in her mouth all by herself. Carina is also only taking two naps now. She goes to bed a little earlier, but it is really nice to have a nice chunk of time in the afternoon to play and have fun!

I'm finally posting the pictures from Halloween...I know it was a week ago, but hey, give me a break! :-)

Dave's work had a pirate themed party, so Dave went as a pirate and Carina was the best accessory ever...
They held a costume contest and with the help of his parrot, Dave won! Although the judges did point out that it was really his super cute parrot that got him the prize. And the prize...an 8 GB iPod Nano! I told Dave that it should be Carina's, but as you can see from the picture, he's not really sharing :-)
