Summer Stuff

Yay! Summer is here!! My last day of work was last Thursday, and we've been busy, busy, busy. We started out this weekend when we took Dave to the Japanese Friendship Garden in San Jose for a Father's Day Picnic.

Daddy liked his picnic, but Carina really had a good time. She wanted to run around (not instead of eat, but with food in her hands). When she fell and her sandwich got covered in dirt, it didn't slow her down at all. She just ate it, dirt and all. Yuck! She didn't want to slow down for a diaper change, but she's so darn cute:

Then we spent some time walking through the beautiful gardens and looking at the big fish.

The other summer fun we started today is swim lessons! We're taking six weeks of lessons (two lessons a week) at Water Babies Swim School in Campbell. I get in the pool too and we share an instructor with one other mommy and baby for a 20 minute lesson and then 20 minutes of play time. The first five minutes were screaming terror. The last 35 minutes were just terror (no screaming :-) Here Carina is when she finally got out...
You may not be able to tell, but that is a look of relief! Hope she's not too mad when we go back on Thursday. Stay tuned for the rest of our summer adventures!
