Goldilocks

Last year for Halloween we didn't do the Trick or Treating thing with Carina. This year, we decided to go for it. We got her dressed up as Goldilocks (hey, we figured we had to capitalize on those blond curls while we've got 'em). She was very cute...
She did actually smile and laugh, but she would not crack even a slight grin for the camera. Oh, well. We just went to a few houses, but she had a great time and liked going up to the door and ringing the doorbell. I don't think she even realized it was candy...she was just excited people were giving her stuff to put in her basket. Of course she used her favorite new words each time: "Thank you". She did get a little scared by a kid dressed up as a werewolf, and by a lady sitting outside of her house handing out candy instead of doing it from the door. Her favorite part of the night though was getting to try her first piece of candy (3 Musketeers - just like Mommy likes). She shared with Daddy, but then became very interested in the other pieces of candy in her basket. Uh-oh!We hope you had a Happy Halloween too!!

Are You Kidding Me?

Get it? "Kidding me"? There's a "kid" running around chasing "me"?

It's been a while since my last post, but that's because I've been busy -- and because it's dangerous to stay in one spot too long. If you recall, I mentioned that the thing in the house was getting bigger and screaming a lot. In the time since, it's started running around.

And then it started trying to speak to Maya and me. First of all, as you well know by now, I speak English. But this thing just keeps looking at Maya and me and screaming "Meoooooowww". Dude, what the hell does "Meoooooowww" mean? Sheesh.

It also seems to be learning the human language. It seems like every day it has learned a new word. Recently, it learned Maya's name. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I suppose I won't think it's funny once it learns to say Frida, but right now, it's pretty hilarious to watch it run after Maya screaming, "Maayyaa! Meoooooowww!!!" C'mon, that's good times.

Anyway, I'm sure my luck will run out soon. Just tonight, I was laying on the floor upstairs with the camera when I captured the following video:

Really, the video speaks for itself. It's gone to bed now, and the humans are watching Dancing With the Stars, so, for the moment, I think I'm safe.
