New Sleeping Arrangements
Who is the little girl wandering around my house? This is the question I keep asking myself now that we have converted Carina's crib into a toddler bed. She'd finally tried to climb out of the crib and had been sleeping on a mat at daycare, so we decided to go for it....

She LOVES it! When Dave and his dad first put it up she just played in it for an hour! Saying, "I a big gurl!" The first week or so of night times and naps were perfect - no getting up after we put her down at all. The past few days she has definitely been getting up at least once after I close the door - one more hug, one more potty, one more song. Once she's asleep though, she's good through the night (until about five when she wakes up to go to the bathroom - she goes right back to sleep though). The biggest thing for me is the fact that she could just be wandering around the house. I've gone back to not sleeping as well (like I did when I was first getting used to all her little noises for those first six months or so). I constantly think I hear the pitter patter of little feet coming down the hallway. That sound at seven in the morning (when it's time to get up) is quite sweet. Dave and I lay in bed and wait for it, and then we light up as she pokes her little head around the door and smiles.
