She'll Turn You to Stone

For Halloween this year, Carina was.....


Medusa! We're not really sure where she came up with this (her daycare assistant apparently loves snakes and we have told Carina that she looks like she has crazy hair after she sleeps), but it was all her idea. I've been asking her for a month what she wanted to dress up as and she kept saying, "snakes in my hair." So, we looked on-line at pictures of Medusa thinking this would change her mind, but no. She told me she didn't want mean snakes, but it was still a go for "snakes in my hair." So, we went to the costume store. I thought for sure she would be overloaded with new ideas, but no. She just wanted to get snakes - and lots of them! So, I went with it. I got lots of snakes and some fun fabric to make a toga. She loved it! We dressed up for Dave's work party (above) and to have fun on Halloween night.

My mom and step-dad came up to go trick-or-treating with us. We only hit up about 10 houses, but it was just right. She loved knocking on doors and getting candy! I wonder what she'll come up with next year!
